Museum Opening for Members April 17th!

After being open for only five months prior to the shelter in place orders going into effect March of 2020, the Sacramento Regional Fire Museum is finally able to open its doors again in April. Two separate opening are planned, the first opening will be a one-day members only opening event On Saturday, April 17th. The following weekend, on Saturday, April 24th and Sunday, April 25th, the museum will open to the public for scheduled visits.  

With Yolo County entering the Orange tier, the Fire Museum will be able to operate at 50% capacity and will be taking scheduled appointments for visits through its website sacfiremuseum.org.

The museum has decided to first open to its members on April 17th as a thank you to all of those that remained members of the museum through the uncertain times of 2020. Membership as still available for purchase on the museums website for those whose memberships have lapsed or community members who would like to become first time members. Anyone who purchases a membership and schedules a visit before April 17th will be able to visit on the 17th by appointment.  

On April 24th the Museum will open to the general public with a scheduled appointment. From the 25th on, the museum will continue to be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  

For all visitors social distancing and masks will be strictly enforced, these factors are important for keeping the museum open and contributing to keeping Yolo County in the Orange tier and below.
